(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron OPP officers are investigating two separate thefts of flags that occurred in Brussels last weekend. Sometime between Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012 thieves stole a Canadian flag and an Ontario flag from the exterior of the Royal Canadian Legion located on Turnberry Street. The flags are just over 4’ X 2’ in size.
Also in Brussels, a Canadian flag was stolen from the flag pole located at the Brussels Elementary School located on Alexander Street. This flag also measured approximately 4’ X 2’. LP12158935
