Flags Stolen

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Monday July 16, 2012, the Perth County OPP received two calls of stolen flags in St.Marys.

The owner of “Flower Shop N More” located on Queen St. East, contacted police and reported a flag stolen from the front of the shop. The decoratively printed flag had the name of the business and a vase with a flower on it. This $200 flag was removed from above the front door of the store sometime between 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Monday.

Police were also called by a member of the Lions Club of St.Marys who reported the theft of three flags the club had placed along Queen St. East. These three flags were stolen between 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Monday. The damage incurred to the poles and holders far outweighs the cost of the actual flags.

Anyone who has any information about these thefts and subsequent damage is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
