Five Arrested In Connection With ATV Theft – Names Released

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) –On January 1, 2016, at 9:18 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Grey County OPP intercepted the sale of a stolen all-terrain vehicle (ATV); which resulted in five suspects being charged.

Police Investigation revealed the 2015 Red Polaris Razor 570 All-Terrain Vehicle had been reported stolen on December 27, 2015, from a residence along the Bruce-Saugeen Line in Bruce Township, Kincardine, in the South Bruce OPP Detachment area. The stolen ATV has an estimated value of $12,000.

On January 1, 2016 Police were advised the ATV was being transported by a min-van, along with a pick-up truck towing a trailer. Police stopped the suspect vehicles on Bruce Road 10, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

Five persons have been arrested and charged in relation to the stolen ATV.

Andrew HAUG, age 29, from Arran-Elderslie has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 4, 2016, to answer to the charges.

Christopher HEINTZMAN, age 26, from Arran-Elderslie has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 and two counts of Failing to Comply with Probation. He is scheduled to appear in bail court on January 6, 2016, to answer the charges.

Katelyn KOURY, age 30, from Kincardine has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 and Failing to Comply with Probation. She is scheduled to appear in bail court on January 6, 2016, to answer to the charges.

Pauline SHEARER, age 35, from South Bruce Peninsula, has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, Possession of marihuana and oxycodone. She is scheduled to appear in court on January 4, 2016, to answer to the charges.

Christopher ECKENSWILLER, age 26, from Teeswater, has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, possession of marihuana and possession of oxycodone. He is scheduled to appear in court on the February 4, 2016, to answer to the charges.
