Firearm Seized – Ayanle Aden Charged

On Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at approximately 3:00 pm, the London Police Service Street Gang Unit was conducting a firearms investigation. A male, Ayanle Aden of London, 19 years, was arrested in the area of Oxford St and Wethered St. He was found to be in possession of a loaded .40 calibre Smith and Wesson handgun. Aden is a gang member.

Ayanle Aden has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:Gun Seized

Unsafe storage of firearm, contrary to section 86(1);

Carry concealed weapon, contrary to section 90(1);

Possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon without being a holder of a licence, contrary to section 91(2);

Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, contrary to section 94(1);

Possession of a loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1).
