On Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 12:03 p.m., the principal from Knollwood Public School contacted police after a loaded sawed off double-barrel shotgun was located on the property. The students were in class at the time. Police attended and seized the firearm.
There was an attempt robbery that occurred on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at approximately 5:30 p.m. It was reported that two males attended a residence on Apeldoorn Crescent with a firearm and demanded money from the occupant.
The suspects were described as young males, wearing dark clothing.
The occupant ran from the residence and the suspects fled on foot.
Nothing was taken and no injuries were sustained.
Police are investigating the possibility of the firearm being related to this investigation.
