A fire has been reported at the London Fire command post located on Childers Street.
Fire crews are actively working on the fire, yet wind direction has created concern for nearby businesses and residents.
All businesses and residents on Childers Street, Ashland Ave, and Langmuir Ave between Wilton Ave and Brydges St have been evacuated.
The public are urged to avoid the area until further notice.
The City of London has opened Carling Heights Community Centre for anyone seeking a place to stay while the fire remains active.
The London Police will provide any further updates as they become available.
For anyone expecting young children to arrive on school busses, arrangements have been made for the children who attend St. Pius Separate School and Prince Charles Public School to be delivered at the Brydges St. and Childers St. intersection.
Information was provided that Thames Valley has kept the students at the school for parents to pick them up.
Police are actively searching for further information from the schools and will keep the public updated.
