(WALKERTON, ON) – On August 25, 2013 at 12:28 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a structure fire at Rob’s Sports Bar on Scott Street in Walkerton. Officers arrived to find that the building was fully engulfed. Walkerton, Paisley, Mildmay, Elmwood and Kincardine Fire departments were called to fight the blaze.
There was no injuries reported at the scene, however the building was completely destroyed by fire.
The South Bruce OPP is investigating the cause of the fire with assistance from the Fire Marshall’s Office and the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit.
Scott Street has been closed at the scene for the protection of emergency responders. The assistance of the public in avoiding the incident area is appreciated.
