On Wednesday April 2, 2014 at approximately 4:50pm emergency services responded to the water treatment facility located at 20 Greenbrook Drive in the city of Kitchener for reports of an explosion. There were no injuries, however the roof and interior of the building were damaged. The occurrence is not considered suspicious. Kitchener Fire Department is investigating the cause of the explosion.
