On April 26, 2014 at approximately 2 a.m. the Waterloo Regional Police Service and the Kitchener Fire Department responded to a fire in the area of Chandler Drive in Kitchener. Upon arrival, a plastic shopping cart was on fire on the basketball court at the Chandler/Mowat Community Centre and was quickly extinguished by the Kitchener Fire Department. There were no injuries and property damage was limited. At this time a suspect as not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
