On December 11, 2010 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police Auxiliary Unit hosted their 3rd Annual Food Drive to support the Salvation Army. This year’s contributions from the public will help families in St. Marys and the surrounding area over the holiday season.
Food collections were held at the Independent and Foodland Grocery stores in St. Marys. A total of 15 cruisers were filled and delivered to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
Cash donations were generously collected from numerous local businesses in the St. Marys area totalling $1138.11. On behalf of the Salvation Army, the Perth County OPP Auxiliary would once again like to thank the St. Marys area for their incredible kindness in helping over 120 families for the holidays.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Independent Grocer, Foodland, Shine Window Cleaning and the several local businesses who donated food and cash towards a great cause.
