Barrie Police attended to a premise on Fairview after 3am this morning regarding a disturbance. Initially, the incident appeared to be domestic related, however, that was not determined to be the situation. A 25 year old man from out of town ended up physically fighting with another young man essentially over the affections of a young lady that he just met. She also was physically grabbed by the arm during this altercation.
Investigating officers arrested him for assaulting two people and he was transported to the police station. He will be released with a future court date in August 2013 in answer to the charges. The victims did not require medical attention as the injuries sustained were minimal bruising. It did not appear that alcohol was a factor in this occurrence.
