Female Spends Night In Drunk Tank – Throws Vomit On Officer

Barrie Police were called to the intersection of Grove and Toronto St in regards to two males attempting to support a female that appeared heavily intoxicated. The officers arrived on scene and spoke to the parties involved. The one 22 yr old male was arrested on several warrants from the Peel Regional area. The 27 yr old Newmarket female was extremely intoxicated and arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The third male was released with a Liquor Licence ticket for open liquor

The female was transported to the station and and lodged in the holding cell until she was determined to be sober. While the female was being held she proceeded to throw vomit on one of the officers that was monitoring her. She was further charged with assaulting a peace officer and now has a court date in November.
