Shortly after 11:00am, a concerned driver called the police in regards to a suspected impaired driver on Essa Road, apparently this vehicle had hit the curb several times. Police located the suspect vehicle near the intersection of Essa Rd and Tiffin St. The responding officer spoke with the driver and determined that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by the consumption of drugs.
The 39 year old Barrie female was arrested and taken to the police station where she was further evaluated by a drug recognition officer. The female was charged accordingly with impaired care/control.
