On July 27, 2015 Waterloo Regional Police responded to St. Mary’s hospital in response to an assault allegation. A 21 year old male had become involved in an altercation with his father at an address in Kitchener. During the incident the victim was struck in the hand with a golf club and sustained multiple fractures in his right hand. The father, a 49 year old Kitchener male, has been arrested and held for a bail hearing on one charge of Aggravated Assault. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
