(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently on scene of a fatal pedestrian crash that has taken place on Harriston Road (County Road #87) just northeast of Bluevale.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department Members responded to the crash site located on Harriston Road near Black Line.
The initial investigation has revealed the driver of a pickup truck was travelling east on Harriston Road when the driver collided with a male pedestrian that had left his vehicle and was on the roadway. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries from the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the deceased will be released pending next of kin notification.
West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team members are currently on scene investigating.
Harriston Road between B Line Road & Amberley Road is expected to re-open around midnight.
