Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.
On Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the intersection of McNaughton Road and Falvo Street for a pedestrian who had been struck by a grey Honda. When officers arrived, they located the pedestrian, a 21-year-old woman from the City of Vaughan, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The driver of the Honda, a 23-year-old man from Vaughan, was not injured.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward, as well anyone that may have been driving in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage.
