On Monday September 14, 2015 at approximately 4:49 pm a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle exiting a parking lot off Queen St. S. near Joseph St., Kitchener. The pedestrian was attended to by emergency response personnel with life threatening injuries and later transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Both the pedestrian and driver are from the Kitchener area. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending. Waterloo Regional Police Service are requesting any witnesses who have not yet contacted them, to contact Traffic Services at 519-650-8500 Ext. 8791 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Waterloo Regional Police would like to remind all motorists to take extra precautions and to watch out for pedestrians while in operation of their motor vehicles.
