(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On October 22, 2017, at approximately 3:45 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin County OPP, Munsee Delaware Police Service (MDPS) and the Middlesex-London Emergency medical Services (EMS) responded to a collision on Melbourne Road, between Duff Line and Carroll Road, Southwest Middlesex.
A motorcycle rider was travelling northbound on Melbourne Road when the motorcycle left the roadway and entered the east dich.
The male motorcycle rider is deceased as a result of the collision. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) officers are on scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Melbourne Road, between Duff Line and Jubilee Road will be closed to traffic for several hours. Motorists will have to find alternative routes.
The identity of the deceased is withheld pending Next of Kin (NOK) notification.
