Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Grey Road 40 Closed

BETWEEN HWY. 10 AND CONCESSION 3A – CHATSWORTH

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are at the scene of a fatal single motor vehicle collision At approximately 12:36 a.m. this morning, Friday, October 26, 2012, police received a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 40 near Concession 2 in the Township of Chatsworth.

The vehicle, a 2002 Nissan Altima was being driven west bound on Grey Road 40. The driver lost control of the vehicle which then entered the north ditch and struck a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. He died as a result of his injuries.

The Chatsworth Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) assisted.

The Coroner attended the scene.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is at the scene continuing the investigation. Grey Rd. 40 will remain closed between Hwy. 10 and Concession 3A until further notice.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Daniel Harvey COBURN, 30, of Holland Centre in the Township of Chatsworth. There were no passengers.
