(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – After an ongoing investigation, on February 19, 2018, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged the driver of the Dodge Dakota pick-up truck involved in the fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on November 18, 2017 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs which had claimed the life of 53-year old Allan JOYCE of Georgian Bluffs.
32-year old Sarah Elizabeth STANDEN of South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with the following criminal offences:
– Impaired Operation/Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle / Cause Death Alcohol, Sec. 255(3) CC
– Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle / Cause Accident with Fatality, Sec. 255(3.1) CC
– Driving While Ability Impaired Cause Bodily Harm, Sec. 255(2) CC
– Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle / Cause Accident with Bodily Harm, Sec. 255(2.1) CC
A bail hearing was scheduled today, February 20, 2018, in Owen Sound. She is scheduled to return to court on March 15, 2018.
