(Innisfil, ON) On Wednesday, June 22nd around 8:30 a.m., Simcoe Police were called to a Innisfil business on Highway #89 regarding an industrial accident. A worker at the business, a 35 year Innisfil man was dismantling a piece of an old metal crane when a section of metal fell and struck him. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries.
South Simcoe Police, the Ministry of Labour and the Office of the Chief Corner are conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Police will not be releasing the man’s name at the request of his family.
