Fatal Hit And Run In Owen Sound – Suspect At Large

On 19DEC2017 at approximately 6:30 pm an Owen Sound citizen was walking his dog in the area of 6 th Avenue and 20 th Street East. While approaching the intersection, a pick-up truck travelling northbound came to a stop at the stop sign. Thinking it was clear to cross, the dog owner entered the intersection with his leashed dog leading the way.

The pick-up truck proceeded to go at the exact time that the dog was in its path. The pick-up truck fatally struck the dog and continued northbound failing to stop at the scene. Owen Sound Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the dark coloured pick-up truck and the driver.
