(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate an early morning crash near Huron Park that has claimed the life of a male from North Middlesex.
At approximately 2:45 a.m. officers from the Huron County OPP Detachment along with Huron Park Fire Department and Huron County EMS arrived on scene of a single motor vehicle collision located on Mount Carmel Drive between Parr Line and Ausable Line.
The preliminary investigation has determined the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Mount Carmel Drive when for unknown reasons the driver left the roadway and struck a concrete bridge abutment on the north side of the road.
The driver, lone occupant of the Ford F-150 was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been identified as Jerry MORLEY, 62 years of age from North Middlesex.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in London on April 22, 2015.
The roadway is now open.
