(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to investigate an off road-vehicle crash that has claimed the life of a Central Huron resident. .
Last night, shortly before midnight, Huron County OPP, Goderich Fire Department and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to the crash scene located just off of Huron Road (Highway 8) west of Kitchigami Road.
The preliminary investigation has determined the driver of a John Deere Gator Utility-Terrain Vehicle (UTV) was travelling on private property parallel to a creek bed when the UTV suddenly dropped off the edge and overturned into the shallow creek.
The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger was uninjured.
The deceased has been identified as Nancy BEDARD, 51 years of age from Central Huron.
