(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and members from the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) are currently on scene investigating a single motor vehicle collision northeast of Exeter that has claimed a life.
At 11:30 a.m. officers from the Huron County OPP Detachment along with personnel from South Huron Fire Department and Huron County EMS responded to the crash scene located on Line 17 near Elimville Line.
The initial investigation has determined the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck was travelling northwest on Line 17 when for unknown reasons the driver veered across the road and struck a concrete bridge abutment. The pickup truck rolled and the lone occupant was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Line 17, a boundary road between the counties of Huron & Perth remains closed between Elimville Line and Perth Road 182.

The identity of the deceased will be released pending next of kin notification.
