(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Wednesday October 15, 2014, shortly before 11 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a collision on Perth Road 135 north of Line 49.
Investigation revealed that a Volkswagen Beetle travelling north bound on Perth Road 135 entered a construction zone and struck a cut out section of roadway. The driver who was the lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased driver has been identified as Timothy KING (46) of Zorra Twp.
The Western Region OPP Technical Traffic Investigation Unit attended the scene and is continuing the investigation into the cause of the collision.
Perth Road 135 between Line 46 and Line 49 was re-opened to traffic shortly after 5 a.m. October 16, 2014.
