(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On June 6, 2019 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious vehicle collision on Wellington Road 14, north of the Village of Arthur. Initial reports indicated that a motorcycle and passenger vehicle had collided and that the operator of the motorcycle had sustained life-threatening injuries.
OPP, Wellington North Fire Service and the Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. A local male in his 50’s was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. There were no other reports of injuries.
The cause of the collision is being investigated and the roadway is expected to remain closed well into the evening. The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.
