(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – On May 17, 2017, at approximately 7:38 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Elginfield Road near Denfield Road.
A black sport utility vehicle (SUV) travelling eastbound on Elginfield Road turning northbound onto Denfield Road was struck in the passenger side by a yellow mobile crane which was travelling westbound on Elginfield Road.
The female driver of the SUV is deceased. The male driver of the crane was uninjured.
OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) officers are on scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Elginfield Road is closed between Vanneck Road and Coursey Line, and Denfield Road/Richmond Street is closed between Sixteen Mile Road and Airport Drive. Motorists will have to find alternative routes.
