(BLUEWATER, ON) On Saturday, November 5th, 2011 on Huron Rd. at approximately 04:31am an OPP officer observed a west bound red 2005 Ford F-150 Pick Up truck travelling at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to stop for police and led police on a twenty-two kilometre pursuit. The driver drove the F-150 off the roadway into a corn field near Mill Rd. in Bluewater, ON. The driver exited the truck and fled on foot. An OPP K9 handler and dog assisted in the search for the driver however the driver was not located. The pickup truck was stolen from Perth County.
Later that day a witness observed a suspicious sand coloured 1990’s model Buick Century or similar type vehicle driving slowly along the cornfield. A lone male emerged from the cornfield and was picked up. The driver and passenger left the area travelling north on Babylon Line.
Huron OPP is attempting to identify the involved persons.
