The Barrie Police Service is investigating a Fail to Remain Collision that occurred at Mapleview Drive West and Huronia Road. A witness observed the suspect vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound along Mapleview Drive when it jumped the center median and crushed a traffic sign. There was debris left behind and police believe the vehicle will have extensive front-end and undercarriage damage. The vehicle sped on, making no attempt to stop at the scene. The vehicle color, make and model are unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
