Fabian ELIJAH – Impaired Driving

(CHIPPEWAS OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On March 3, 2018, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated the traffic stop of a suspected impaired driver on Chippewa Road.

The officer determined that the 47-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests. The male refused to provide a breath sample as required by law.

As a result of the police investigation, Fabian ELIJAH, of Oneida Nation of The Thames First Nation, Ontario, has been charged with Driving While Ability impaired and Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on April 10, 2018.
