Explosives Destroyed

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On August 12th, 2011 at 3:00 pm, the West Region Ontario Provincial Police Explosives Disposal Unit (EDU) attended the South Bruce OPP detachment to dispose of a blasting cap that had been turned in for destruction. EDU officers successfully destroyed the blasting caps without incident. The South Bruce OPP is asking area residents to call police for explosives disposal or for any suspicious packages that are observed. Explosive devices should only be handled by trained personnel.
