(SOUTH HURON, ON) – The Exeter Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment is hosting a community open house on Thursday, June 28, 2012 between Noon and 4:00 p.m.. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and check out the recently renovated detachment located at 245 Main Street.
Don’t miss out on your chance to meet OPP specialty unit members such as: an OPP K9 dog and handler, Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, and Marine Officers. Officers will also be showing off some of Huron OPP’s specialty vehicles including ATVs, Vessels, and Snow Machines. Children are encouraged to bring their cameras.
The Huron-Perth Crime Stoppers Coordinator and Huron Victim Services staff will also be on site to promote their programs.
As an added bonus, the Huron County Health Unit will have trained staff on site to check child safety seats and assist with their proper installation.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided by the building owners, the Exeter Mason Club.
