(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) On Sunday March 31, 2013 at approximately 4:07 am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on the Hanlon Expressway at College Avenue in the City of Guelph.
Officers arrived at the scene and determined that the 2009 Toyota Rav 4 was travelling northbound in the southbound lanes of the Hanlon Expressway just prior to driving straight into the west ditch. Police spoke with the male driver, the lone occupant of the motor vehicle and determined that he had been drinking.
Eric Rasavong aged 19 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on May 3, 2013 to answer to the charges.
