Eric Crisp – No Seatbelt Leads to Drunk Driving Charge

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday March 12, 2011 shortly before 8 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer observed that the driver of a pickup truck at the intersection of Hwy. 23 and Line 91 just outside of Palmerston who was not wearing a seatbelt.

While speaking to the driver the officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage being emitted from the driver’s breath. The driver failed a roadside breath test and was transported to the Palmerston OPP Detachment where the driver again failed breath tests.

Eric Crisp (34) of Minto Twp. was charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Listowel on April 06, 2011 to answer to this charge. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
