The Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services have left the scene of a fire that occurred in the corridor of the 2nd floor of Victoria Towers, 825 9th Street West. The fire which began in an electrical panel was contained to the area around the panel. The building owners now have care of the building. The hallway lighting, stairwell lighting and elevator are all operating. Power to the apartments will not be provided until the damaged panel has been replaced. The building owners have posted a fire watch on site until the fire alarm system has been repaired. The units are equipped with battery powered smoke alarms.
