Barrie Police were called to attend a Bayfield Street business with regards to a motor vehicle collision. Police arrived and found a car through a window of a restaurant.
An elderly lady mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake which caused the collision to occur. Luckily there were no injuries however there was extensive damage to the building and vehicle.
Due to the age of the driver and type of incident, police notified the Ministry of Transportation to request that the lady have a current driving evaluation. No charges were laid.
