(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday January 27, 2012 at around 6:15 a.m. a pickup truck owner pulled up in front of a business on Line 87 west of Hwy. 23 north of Listowel. The truck owner proceeded inside the business to pick up some equipment while his vehicle was left unlocked and running. Upon completing his errand, the owner walked outside and discovered his truck stolen.
The Perth County OPP was contacted and subsequent investigation revealed that a second vehicle drove up to the victim’s pickup truck, dropping off a person who drove the pickup truck away. Both vehicles left the scene in a west bound direction on Line 87. The stolen pickup truck is a black 2008 Chevy Silverado with Ontario licence plate AA68819. The truck also has distinguishing damage to the rear driver’s side bumper and quarter panel. The truck contained several tool boxes, dolly carts, an HP laptop computer, a portable printer and numerous miscellaneous tools.
Anyone having observed suspicious activity along Line 87 in the early hours of Friday morning or who has knowledge of the trucks whereabouts is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
