Early Morning Cruiser Crash

(Huron East, ON) On July 7, 2007 at approximately 7:40 am, Detective Constable Dwight Adams (49) of the Huron OPP was operating a force vehicle southbound on Morrison Line in the Municipality of Huron East when he swerved to avoid an animal. The vehicle he was operating struck a bridge abutment and came to rest in the northbound lane.

Detective Constable Adams, a 24 year veteran officer, suffered minor injuries in the collision. He was treated and released from the South Huron Hospital.

The roadway was closed for several hours as OPP Technical Collision Investigators collected evidence at the scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
