On Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at approximately 11:17 am, a serious assault took place as a result of what appears to be a road rage incident.
The victim in this matter, (an adult male) was driving eastbound on Oxford Street approaching Adelaide Street North when an adult male operating an older model black e-bike, proceeded to pull in front of the driver of the motor vehicle, forcing him to stop in the curb lane.
The driver of the e-bike approached the victim and a verbal exchange took place before the driver of the e-bike kicked the side of the victim’s vehicle.
The victim excited his vehicle to check to see if there was any damage, and was subsequently punched by the suspect.
The suspect fled eastbound on Oxford Street. He is described as male, white, approximately 5’11, 35 years old, tanned skin, 200 lbs, muscular build with tattoos on his arms, and short blond hair. He was wearing a light blue t-shirt with dark coloured shorts that went past his knees, and a black helmet. The e-bike had a red sticker on the back that read I love Tim Hortons”.
The victim was transported to hospital via ambulance with serious injuries.
