(HURON EAST, ON) – On January 4, 2011 at approximately 9:00 am a male who had been driving a commercial truck stopped in Seaforth to make a purchase at a store. As the male returned to his truck, he was nearly struck by a motorist. The motorist is alleged to have exited his vehicle and while a verbal altercation was taking place, the motorist punched the truck driver in the face. The motorist went on to strike the victim several more times until he was able to get away. When the physical assault ended the driver got back into his car and drove away dangerously, striking the victim with the back end of his car. The victim did not know the male.
Huron OPP officers arrived on scene and the investigation led to a male party from the Seaforth area. The male, identified as Dwight KRAMERS (46) of Huron East, was later located and arrested. He has been charged with one count of Assault and one count of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He will answer to his charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 7, 2011.
