On April 2, 2015 at 2:40 a.m., the Guelph Police and Guelph Fire responded to a reported dumpster fire at Centennial High School on College Avenue West. On police arrival, two youths were observed running from the scene. They were both located and arrested a short distance away. The dumpster was destroyed as a result of the fire which was extinguished by Guelph Fire.
A 15-year-old Guelph female and a 17-year-old Guelph male have been charged with arson and mischief under $5,000. They will both appear in court on April 29, 2015.
