(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday June 11, 2013, around 9 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol in the village of Milverton observed a Pontiac Grand Prix fail to stop at the intersection of Glenn St and Mill St. West.
The officer activated the cruisers emergency lights and proceeded to follow the offending motorist. The Pontiac accelerated and attempted to evade police by entering into a private parking lot. The officer was able to block in the Pontiac and place the lone male occupant under arrest.
Duane MARTIN (41) of the Township of Perth East has been charged with fail to stop for police, disobey stop sign fail to stop, and drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit. He has been summonsed to appear in Stratford Court on July 09, 2013, to answer to these charges. The motor vehicle was towed from the scene.
