Barrie Police were called to a Dunlop St west apartment for a report of a Domestic Assault.
A 31 year old suspect had been drinking heavily overnight and became upset with his common law spouse.
The suspect punched the victim on her nose, drawing blood and knocking her to the floor. The victim called Police via 911 and the suspect fled the apartment.
The suspect was found a short distance away, arrested and taken to the Barrie Police Service where he will await a bail hearing.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
