Occurrence Type: Fail To Remain Leads To Impaired Charges

On Wednesday, September 2, 2015, just before 12:00 p.m., Police received a call for a vehicle that had fled the scene after hitting a parked vehicle in a plaza, located at the corner of Big Bay Point Road and Leggott Avenue, City of Barrie.
Shortly after 12:00 p.m., police received a second call for a vehicle that had struck a light pole at the same location.
A 30-year-old Barrie male was arrested for; fail to remain, impaired driving and over 80. He was later released on a promise to appear and will appear in a Barrie court in September.
