On Friday night uniform officers were alerted about a possible impaired driver in the Dunlop and Mulcaster area. The officers were able to locate the vehicle and driver on Owen St. The driver was eventually investigated on Penetang St. after losing control of the vehicle on the icy road. The driver exhibited all the physical signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken to station where he provided two samples in excess of 180mgs. The 21 year old male was charged with impaired care/control and driver over 80mgs. He is scheduled to be released by way of a promise to appear.
