In the early morning hours of Thursday March 12, 2015; a Central Division patrol officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a motor vehicle on Charles Street East in the city of Kitchener. The driver pulled over and then quickly fled on foot. The officer gave chase on foot and apprehended the driver several blocks away with the assistance of another officer. A 36 year old Kitchener male was held for a showcause hearing for the charges of: Impaired Operation, Operate Motor Vehicle Over .80; Resist Arrest; Assault police x2; Utter Threats; Breach Recognizance; Utter Threats and Driving While Suspended.
