(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On July 7, 2015 at approximately 9:58 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 89, Town of Minto involving a 2010 Chevrolet that struck a wagon of hay being pulled by a farm tractor.
The female driver of the Chevrolet displayed signs of impairment by alcohol. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital by Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS). An arrest was made and testing conducted which resulted in a failure.
Brandy THORNTON age 33 from the Town of Minto has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 31, 2015 to answer to the charges.
