Drunk Driver Hits Stone Flower Bed

(TIVERTON, ON) – On December 14, 2014 at 8:36 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and King Street in Tiverton. Officers arrived to find that a Black Pontiac Sunfire was travelling northbound on King Street before colliding with a stone flower bed. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Thirty-seven year old Owen LUTES of London was charged with impaired operation, operate over 80 milligrams and dangerous driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 19, 2015 to answer to the charges. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
