Drunk Driver Hits Building In Palmerston

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On January 7, 2016 at approximately 10:29 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a plaza parking lot on Main Street East, Palmerston. A 2007 Kia struck a building causing minor damage. Police spoke with the driver and made an arrest after believing that he was impaired by alcohol.

He was taken to a local OPP Operations Centre for testing.

His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.

44-year-old Todd LAMBIER has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 24, 2016 to answer to the charges.
